This class is great for beginners but also introduces aesthetic pruning concepts that will elevate pruning decisions and pruning communication for any skill level. 

The class is one hour long. However, you'll have 30 days after the class to access and download the resources pdf. 

This will be a classroom setting so you only need to bring your curiosity and questions. Feel free to bring what you need to take notes. 

We will be in the downstairs class room at Garden Fever located at 3433 NE 24th Ave, Portland OR 97212. (The corner of Fremont & NE 24th Ave)

Often confused with pruning techniques such as topiary or espalier, aesthetic pruning is a specific approach to pruning that requires assimilating more than just horticultural knowledge. It demands the full attention of the pruner and a long term strategic plan. Dennis Makishima developed the framework behind aesthetic pruning almost 40 years ago while teaching at Merritt College in Oakland CA.
